Wide Bay Australia Signs Integrated Services Agreement With Diebold
Agreement includes upgrades to existing Opteva ATMs, OpteView Resolve availability management solution, Agilis 3 software and Agilis Journal Office for PCI-compliant electronic journaling
28 May 2013BUNDABERG, Australia — Seeking to reduce costs and increase security while enhancing both the consumer experience and operational efficiencies, Wide Bay Australia Ltd. signed an agreement with Diebold Australia Pty Ltd. to upgrade 47 of its existing Opteva® automated teller machines (ATMs) with Diebold’s Agilis® 3 software. In addition, Diebold will also deploy OpteView® Resolve™, a total availability management solution and will manage all of Wide Bay Australia’s ATM service needs through Diebold’s Managed Services Centre located in Sydney.
By implementing OpteView Resolve, Wide Bay Australia will have end-to-end management of its entire ATM network availability cycle, strengthening the complete break/fix process from status notification to problem resolution, reducing operating costs and enhancing network performance.
Since the launch of the services earlier this month, Wide Bay Australia ATM’s has experienced increased availability. “Our decision has immediately enhanced customer experience and reduced in-house personnel costs allowing these staff to be reassigned to other duties,” said Steve Caville, Wide Bay Australia’s Chief Information Officer.
"Wide Bay Australia has been a valued customer of Diebold for well over 10 years,” said Richard Sams, Managing Director, Diebold Australia. “By enlisting Diebold as the single point of contact for managed services, PCI and EMV compliance and by implementing Diebold's OpteView Resolve solution, Wide Bay Australia is now able to remotely deliver software updates to ATMs. This will improve terminal uptime and enable advanced functionality—and ultimately provide an enhanced customer experience.”
