Diebold's V. John Stroia Named Vice Chairman Of Security Industry Association's Board Of Directors, Honored As Chairperson Of The Year

NORTH CANTON, Ohio – A leader for Diebold, Incorporated (NYSE: DBD) has been recognized by the Security Industry Association (SIA). The organization has named V. John Stroia, vice president, government security and monitoring solutions, as vice chairman of its board of directors. SIA has also recognized Stroia as its 2009 Chairperson of the Year for his service to the industry as one of the organization’s 2009 committee chairs.
SIA first appointed Stroia to its board in late 2007. He was chosen due to his extensive leadership in the security industry. As a board member, Stroia is charged with upholding SIA’s initiatives, including support of industry leaders in biometrics, access control and systems integration. These initiatives align with Diebold’s position as a leading security integrator.
“I’m honored to serve as vice chairman of SIA’s board of directors,” said Stroia. “I look forward to supporting its overall mission to strengthen businesses’ representation in the industry.”
Stroia received SIA’s 2009 Chairperson of the Year Award for his exemplary service to the government relations committee. As part of the committee, Stroia helped educate government entities about applied security technologies and influenced the development of government policies that will strengthen the electronic physical security industry.
