Diebold Gains Strategic Insight With Global Customer Advisory Board
Industry leader to bring together financial executives to examine future of the self-service industry

NORTH CANTON, Ohio – Expanding its ongoing outreach to key financial industry executives, Diebold, Incorporated (NYSE: DBD) has formed a Global Customer Advisory Board. As part of this dynamic group of professionals, board members will share market perspectives and real-world insights into the challenges and opportunities facing the industry. They will also help guide Diebold’s strategic direction and offerings to help the company develop and deliver innovative solutions and services that address the industry’s current and emerging needs.
Diebold Global Customer Advisory Board members will gather annually in a collaborative environment. There, they will share their perspectives on issues such as the future state of the financial industry, channel integration, security and the implications of innovative technologies and solutions on the self-service channel.
The 2012 board meeting takes place September 11-13 in Palo Alto, Calif. Under the theme “Technology and Innovation Advancements in the Financial Self-Service Industry,” the Global Customer Advisory Board will focus on a variety of technological advancements, including virtualization, network availability management and newer communication platforms such as 4G, near field communication and two-way video. Members will provide insight about how rapid technology innovations are changing consumer behaviors and transforming the financial self-service marketplace.

Ensuring that participants obtain a diverse, global perspective, the Diebold Global Customer Advisory Board comprises members from all of the regions in which Diebold operates, including: North America; Europe, the Middle East and Africa; Asia Pacific; and Latin America. This global viewpoint enables Diebold to consider the unique challenges of all markets as it develops new solutions and services targeted to specific regions.
Members of the Global Customer Advisory Board will serve staggered two-year terms, with half of the board rotating each year. The two-year commitment allows Diebold to receive valuable feedback from individuals over time, while giving members the opportunity to expand their professional networks. The staggered membership allows for a natural rotation of professionals and ensures continuity in the board’s collective knowledge.
