Diebold Features Cardless Mobile Cash Access ATMs At Money 2020 Conference
07 October 2013LAS VEGAS – Diebold, Incorporated (NYSE: DBD) is featuring automated teller machines (ATMs) with Mobile Cash Access enabled by the Agilis® 3 software platform at the Money 2020 conference. The ATMs, which will be located in the booths of Vantiv and FIS, use a unique QR code to allow consumers to use their smartphones, instead of their debit or credit cards, to withdraw cash.
Enabled by a partnership between Diebold and mobile wallet provider Paydiant, the mobile cash access solution gives consumers a more convenient and secure option to interact with their financial institutions, while giving banks and credit unions the opportunity to offer their own branded mobile wallet solution. The cardless Mobile Cash Access solution allows consumers to pre-stage cash withdrawals on smartphone devices creating a cooperative interaction with the ATM, a feature Diebold highlighted in a concept earlier this year. At the ATM, consumers authenticate themselves by scanning a tokenized QR code that signals the ATM to dispense cash via an encrypted connection to the cloud.
Money2020 is the leading annual event for emerging payments and financial services. The conference brings together organizations of all sizes from across the globe.
