DIEBOLD AND ELAN CERTIFY BRANCH TRANSFORMATION SOLUTIONS
12 June 2014
NORTH CANTON, Ohio - Advancing branch transformation initiatives to migrate teller transactions to the self-service channel, Elan Financial Services has certified two Diebold, Incorporated (NYSE: DBD) technologies on its transaction processing network. The processing and payments services provider approved both Diebold's Opteva® Branch Performance Series(TM) in-lobby teller (ILT) terminal and Concierge Video Services(TM) offerings. The certifications ensure that Diebold's solutions will run seamlessly within the Elan network, helping to accelerate the solutions' pace of adoption by financial institutions. These branch transformation certification initiatives are powered by Diebold's Agilis 3 software, which enables a consistent multi-channel consumer experience and transaction support.
Elan delivers a complete range of processing and payments services, providing transaction processing, terminal driving and monitoring and support services for more than 34,000 automated teller machines (ATMs) across the United States.
"Financial institutions are eager to implement advanced self-service solutions that reduce teller line traffic and enable more meaningful interactions with consumers," said Troy Cullen, president, Elan. "With certification approved on our network, our customers are able to minimize the testing and time required to integrate these solutions into their operations."
Elan is one of the first processors to approve Diebold's Opteva® 923 In-Lobby Teller for integration into branch environments. The terminals deliver a self-service or partially assisted service capability inside the branch, moving routine transactions to a self-service device and allowing financial institution employees to spend more time personally interacting with customers.
Elan also certified Diebold's Concierge Video Services offering, which enables consumers to connect with remote customer service representatives via video right from the terminal.
"We value working with business partners like Elan to ensure our hardware, software and services work within the transaction processing ecosystem," said Mychal D. Kempt, vice president, North America operations, Diebold. "Elan has consistently been an early adopter of Diebold's self-service solutions, sharing leadership in delivering new technologies to enhance consumers' banking experiences."
Additional payment service providers are in the process of certifying Diebold's ILT terminal, which will allow even more financial institutions to deploy the branch transformation solution.
