Vice President, Chief People Officer
Patricia Lang currently serves as the vice president and chief people officer for Diebold Nixdorf. In this role, she is responsible for managing employee-focused initiatives across the organization – overseeing the global human resources programs for more than 24,000 employees.
With more than 25 years of experience in human resources and related fields, Lang has in-depth knowledge of all facets of the human resource function including first-hand, extensive experience in the diligence, acquisition and integration of complex multicultural companies.
Lang joined Diebold Nixdorf in 2012 and, most recently, led the global rewards, human resource information systems & people analytics organizations.
Prior to joining Diebold Nixdorf, Lang held a number of human resource and operations leadership positions at companies such as Mylan, Consol Energy, Mercer Consulting, Alcoa, Conduent and Cigna. While at Mylan, she was the human resource lead on merger and acquisition activities, and also responsible for providing human resource counsel to the company’s CEO and president. In this capacity, she led the startup of a pilot research and development facility in the U.K. Prior to this international assignment, Lang was the rewards and mergers and acquisitions lead for Mylan.
During her tenure at Cigna, Lang was integral to the success of the first multi-carrier, systemically integrated insurance plan between Cigna and Highmark BCBS. Additionally, while at Alcoa, Lang created the first client-managed performance-based incentive program for claim management and successfully negotiated new benefit terms to all one-off union agreements within the U.S.
Lang holds a bachelor’s degree in business administration with a concentration in information technology and management from Duquesne University in Pittsburgh. Additionally, she holds various certifications in human capital management, mergers and acquisitions, global employee benefits including C.E.B.S, as well as complex project management, manufacturing business systems & the Toyota production system.
