Vice President, Chief Marketing and Communications OfficerJohn D. Kristoff currently serves as the vice president and chief marketing and communications officer. In this role, he oversees the global functions of corporate communications, investor relations, marketing and sales enablement. He is responsible for driving every facet of communications and marketing to achieve the long-term goals of the organization. Additionally, Kristoff leads the team responsible for driving integrated marketing programs through the sales organization to accelerate demand, loyalty and thought leadership in the industry.
With more than 20 years of experience in the development and implementation of successful integrated marketing and communications programs, Kristoff has acted as a trusted advisor for several CEOs throughout his career. His years of experience enable him to be a driving force in the collaboration of multi-channel communication and provide strategic development of the company’s brand identity, marketing collateral, digital and social media, industry and financial analyst relations and media relations programs.
Most recently, Kristoff held the position of vice president, chief communications officer, for Diebold, Incorporated, beginning in 2006. In this role, he effectively led the communications, investor relations and marketing functions throughout the extensive process of the business combination with Wincor Nixdorf. Prior to that, he held a number of leadership positions with increasing responsibility in the communications and marketing organizations for Diebold, including vice president of investor relations.
Prior to joining Diebold in 1989, Kristoff served in the corporate communications division of B.F. Goodrich in Akron, Ohio.
Kristoff earned a master’s degree in business administration from Ashland University in Ashland, Ohio, and a bachelor’s degree in public relations from Kent State University in Kent, Ohio. He resides with his family in North Canton, Ohio.
