Senior Vice President, Software

Alan Kerr currently serves as the senior vice president, software. In this role, he is responsible for building the strategy and the organization necessary to generate profitable, sustainable growth surrounding innovation in software solutions and services.

Most recently, Kerr led the software line of business for Diebold, Incorporated, beginning in August 2014. Kerr has more than 25 years of experience in the information technology and software industry where he held a number of executive positions driving field operations, solution strategies, high-growth initiatives, mergers and acquisitions, global expansion and restructuring for enterprise software companies. Kerr has extensive experience in the Americas, Europe, Middle East, Africa and Asia Pacific regions.

Previously, he served as executive vice president of field operations at Kofax, a business process automation software company. He was responsible for all global customer-facing functions and revenue including sales, professional services, business development and operations as well as driving a new ‘go to market’ model, which delivered growth.

Kerr has also served as vice president of sales and vice president of global operations at HP Software where he collaboratively established the company’s growth strategy-- building HP Software into the 6th largest software company in the world. He was also successful in restructuring HP Software’s sales operations. His executive-level experience extends to include positions at Peregrine Systems, Ascential Software and Informix Software.

Kerr studied civil engineering at Strathclyde University, Scotland.
